A clearer switch.
A prepared first service.
Plan your menu, equipment, staff access and opening checks before switching your restaurant, café or takeaway POS.
Build a working menu first.
List products, prices, VAT settings, modifiers, extras and service channels. Review every imported menu entry before accepting it. Keep your original records so quantities, tax and prices can be checked against them.
Map the service.
Prepare your tables, kitchen routing, receipt requirements and delivery or collection flow. Review marketplace item matching separately: a matching product name does not guarantee that its options are correct.
Check devices and payments.
Use the hardware checklist and review your provider connections. Confirm the live merchant account, supported device and who can handle cancellations or uncertain payment results.
Prepare stock and rewards.
Check ingredient base units, prices, opening stock and complete recipes. Keep incomplete costs unknown. Review member and reward transfer options with the team before promising that existing balances will migrate automatically.
Rehearse before the first service.
- Verify menu prices, options, staff permissions and table allocation.
- Check printer and kitchen destinations with an agreed test procedure.
- Walk through a split bill, a held order and a payment-recovery scenario.
- Agree who approves the cutover and what staff do if a critical check fails.
Use an agreed test environment or supervised onboarding process. Do not create live charges simply to review the website or a demonstration.
Keep a migration record.
Retain the source export and a list of what was transferred, checked or left for manual setup. Historical transactions, loyalty balances and provider contracts need explicit discussion; switching software does not automatically transfer them.
Less juggling.
More hospitality.
